    Represent the Department in litigation, handling all aspects of case management from inception through trial and appeals. Negotiate contracts on behalf of the Department. Draft and analyze legislation impacting the Department. Respond to public records requests. Ensure Department compliance with all local, state and federal statutes, rules and procedures. Maintain close relationships with Department executives, employees and consultants, and provide legal advice during ongoing construction projects.
    Recovered $1.1 million dollar settlement in construction defects case regarding the District 6 Headquarters. Recovered $1.225 million dollar settlement in construction defects case regarding the District 6 ITS Building. Successfully defended the Department before the Fourth District Court of Appeals. Won multi-million dollar Inverse Condemnation trial resulting in zero liability for the Department. Won dismissal of lawsuit regarding access to public records.
